Tour itinerary

Here follows the itinerary of our birding tours in Kaeng Krachan national park.
Note: We can organize both daytrips and multi-day tours.

Day 1 (06:00 to ±18:00 - 19:00)

It is difficult to write about a standard day itinerary, because the itinerary depends on various factors. First of all, it depends on how many days you book. Secondly, it depends on your target bird species that you wish to see. And what you might have already seen on previous days. Besides that, every birder has his/her own priorities. For example if you wish to focus more on photography, then the itinerary will probably end up being different than when you just watch birds through binoculars. Our guide will try for the best to get the most out of your trip based on your preferences.

Generally speaking, the birding tours are not physically demanding. We use a car to move around throughout the park. We visit different habitats and known stake-outs. And then leave the car to walk short bits along the road or into the jungle. Or simply wait on a spot to see what appears. That is certainly a common method at open clearings in the forest, or for example at fruiting fig trees and so on.

Especially for bird photographers it can be the best option to wait for longer periods of time to get the best shot. It is best to notify us in advance about this during the correspondence prior booking the tour. And it is useful if you specify any specific target species. Then we can decide in advance how to adapt the itinerary to increase the chances of success.

The only fixed element of the day is the lunch at midday in the park restaurant. Even there the birding probably will not stop, because also there it is not uncommon that various species reveal themselves.

At the end of the day you will be returned to your hotel outside the park. Or we meet the taxi for a transfer to your next destination.
